“Hermetic” is a title I choose due to the connection with the seven Hermetic principles laid down in the ancient teachings which represent a single harmonious system and explain life, the universe and the art of change. The foreign bodies that appear are a reference to chance, things beyond our control, and the background “forest” or “water” are a metaphor of life that leaves us with “scratches”, that speak of having a personal history worth cherishing, not hiding. The glassy effects creating the illusion of water and movement for something that is a beautiful barrier between the surroundings and the viewer. The technique is mixed, acrylic, oil, textures and embossed pastes, collage with handmade papers, encaustic, incorporation of metal, wood, resin on canvas.” (Svetoslava Georgieva)
