On October 7, 2021 (Thursday)with a vernissage from 16:00 to 18:00 will be opened Vera Peneva’s “Box of Memories” exhibition. Dobrich Art Gallery presents over 40 works of Dobrich artist in various genres – collage, painting, art objects, sculpture. Vera Peneva graduated in sculpture from the University of Veliko Tarnovo “St. ST. Cyril and Methodius” but in recent years she has become better known for her paintings and collages. Her paintings are recognizable, saturated with bright, cheerful colors and light. She says she prefers the plastic feel so she weaves different textures – paper, textile threads, and natural materials. In her paintings she emphasizes the color and plasticity of collage materials. Vera explains the concept of the exhibition: “There are many things in my “Memory Box” and they are not always the same… There is a whole city, a house, dolls, games of checkers and “Don’t be angry”, people, lost friends, roads to somewhere – roads to nowhere, sea and dolphins, cats, failed meetings, laughter, stories I don’t want to remember and others that I arrange at the top… “.
