FINAL EXHIBITION OF THE PROJECT "THE GREAT MASTERS AND THE SMALL PAINTERS" IN THE DOBRICH ART GALLERY
On May the 5th 2019 at 5 pm the Dobrich Gallery opens an exposition of students of the teacher Mariya Popova from “St. Kliment Ohridski” Secondary school. The exposition is a part of “The Great Masters and the Small Painters” project which is funded by the Ministry of Culture. For several months children from three schools drew modeled and made collages in creative workshops and by educational games thus learning more about objects and customs of the national lifestyle and culture. So they got to know the life of the Bulgarian people in the past. This display is a natural sequel of the project which gave the children the knowledge about emblematic painters of Bulgarian art from the permanent exhibition of the gallery. The young painters represent 38 drawings inspired by subjects of well known Bulgarian artists.
“THE PAPER” FIRST PLEIN-AIR
THE PAPER! HOW IT ALL STARTED
From 18 May in Hall 2 of Dobrich Art Gallery are displayed artworks of Dobrich artist Yanko Atanasov. The exhibition is a part of the doctor’s thesis of the author’s daughter Dessislava Y. Atanassova titles “Media realities in the fine arts”. The scientific research tracks the capturing – from the black-and-white photos, through the slides as an image variety developing in time, to the digitalization and the virtual presentation of the museum exhibits. The aim is to show the best way to display a particular artwork – both for its’ archiving and its’ wide popularization to the public beyond the physical presence. The second stage of Dessislava Y. Atanassova’s doctor’s thesis is a presentation of the final digital product that carries the advantages of the better access to the valuable fine arts works and their promotion in the public media space. The complete project will be presented to the audience in the Gallery and Yanko Atanassov’s art admirers will be able to see his works virtually.
