Nikolay Izvarin belonged to the national generation of painters which in 60s of 20th century prompted a new plastic thinking thus forming the image of the Bulgarian art. The painter possessed the temperament of a colorist. His paintings are made by the aquarelle technique a la prima. The painter uses the colors freely and excitedly. The warm colors are presented by red, yellow, orange and ocher. By these colors the artist constructed both the ground volume, as well as the sky, achieving an individual sound of the landscape image. So the artist managed to get an intimation surpassing the limits of the painting and becoming an infinity.

The creative work of Izvarin combines the expressiveness and fauvism of European art with the traditions of Bulgarian art from 60s, 70s and 80s. His paintings are different from the touristic landscape and possess an impressive art richness.

The exhibition will be open till Apr 7th, 2019.
