On July 11th, 2017 at 6 pm the Dobrich gallery opens an exhibition of the painter Anton Antonov. He was born in Sofia in 1962. The artist graduated the “St.St. Cyril and Methodius” University in Veliko Tarnovo, subject painting under prof. Al. Terziev and prof. G. Kostov. He is a member of the Union of the Bulgarian Painters. Anton Antonov organized 27 solo exhibitions and participated in more than 30 general exhibitions.

Works of his are in collections belonging to the Shizuoka Municipal Council, Japan, the Tokai University, Japan, the Municipal Council of Czech Budjovice, museums and galleries in the Bulgaria as well as in private collections in Germany, Italy, France, Belgium, Portugal, Spain, Nederland, Switzerland, United Kingdom, China, Turkey, Southern Africa, Japan, USA.

The painter Milko Bozhkov communicates about him: “I have said several times that Anton is probably reborn French artist who has fallen in love with the soft plaits of the canvases and the widely opened eyes of his model….”

 The exposition includes works with oils, water colors, pastels and other techniques. About his seeking in painting Anton Antonov says: “”Black and white are not colors. They take part in each chromaticity but as tones of the color. The world is more colorful at the bounds between both. As human being we feel most alive between the bounds of good and evil in us. Actually there are no bounds. There is the beauty to contemplate everything in its entity. We are Day and Night at the same time.”
