„TWO-DIMENSIONAL LANDSCAPES” – ROSSEN DONCHEV
On 1 Sept 2016 at 5.30 pm the Dobrich art gallery is opening an exhibition of paintings of Rossen Donchev – “Two-dimension Landscapes”.
The artist is born in 1963. He graduated from the Secondary school in applied arts “St. George” in Tryavna and Bulgarian philology from the “St. Kliment Ohridski” University. He dedicated himself to icon painting. He graduated in painting under prof. Dimitar Cholakov from the Shumen University. In 1989 took place his first solo exhibition displayed in the gallery of the Sofia University. After a long break he surprisingly opened three exhibitions marking his anniversary in Kazanlak, Gabrovo and Sevlievo. He is a member of the Gabrovo Artists’ Union. Donchev took part in international Plain Airs and national and regional exhibitions. In partnership with the painter Vanya Zapryanova he created the “Atelier”gallery in Kazanlak. He organized 17 National children’s plain airs “Etar”. He is also the creator of the technique “redolent drawing” – drawn with rose oil and pigments. He also organizes demonstrations in drawing with wine.
Rossen Donchev has six solo exhibitions, participations in national and international exhibitions, plain airs and competitions.

Many of his works are possessed by galleries and private collections in Japan, Russia, Italy, Portugal, Spain, America, Canada, Bulgaria: Gallery “Hristo Tsokev” and the House of Humor and Satire in Gabrovo, gallery “Vidima” – Sevlievo, Museum of Modern Art in Izmit town – Turkey.
