FINAL EXHIBITION WITHIN A PROJECT "THE GREAT MASTERS AND THE SMALL PAINTERS"

On May the 5th 2019 at 5 pm the Dobrich Gallery opened an exposition of students of the teacher Mariya Popova from “St. Kliment Ohridski” Secondary school. The exposition is a part of “The Great Masters and the Small Painters” project which is funded by the Ministry of Culture. For several months children from three schools drew modeled and made collages in creative workshops and by educational games thus learning more about objects and customs of the national lifestyle and culture. So they got to know the life of the Bulgarian people in the past. This display is a natural sequel of the project which gave the children the knowledge about emblematic painters of Bulgarian art from the permanent exhibition of the gallery. The young painters represent 38 drawings inspired by subjects of well known Bulgarian artists. The exposition was opened by Milena Aldzhabary – a gallery pedagogue. She greeted the children who participated in the project and thanked them for the strong will to take part in the initiation and “so we represent today a wonderful exhibition to your parents and friends!” – said Aldzhabary. This display is a natural sequel of the project which gave the children the knowledge about emblematic painters of Bulgarian art from the permanent exhibition of the gallery. The young painters represented 38 drawings inspired by subjects of well-known Bulgarian artists. All participants were delivered certificates and their teacher Mariya Popova and the school director Petya Georgieva were given special Thanksgiving Diplomas by the Dobrich Art Gallery.
